Events - Handel's Messiah

For out Spring concert we are delighted to be performing in support of St Luke's Hospice (Kenton Grange, Harrow) to whom some of the proceeds of the ticket sales will be donated. Click here to see and download the concert poster.  For our concert in November 2009, we performed extracts from this most famous of oratorios as a forerunner to this concert, which will comprise the complete work. It will take place within the magnificent St Albans Abbey on 2^nd April 2011 and will be a major concert in which we will be joined by the acclaimed Charivari Agreable 'one of the classiest baroque bands' (The Observer), 'specialising in the ingenious use of period instruments to produce ravishing sonorities and full-bodied textures'. (Gramophone).

We are also delighted to have 4 leading soloists for the evening. Hilary Musgrave (soprano) and Greg Tassell (tenor) performed magnificently in our 2009 performance and have kindly agreed to return for this special occasion. We will also be welcoming Alexandra Gibson (mezzo soprano) and Derek Welton (bass), two very talented and highly regarded performers.
