Events - St Matthew Passion
Location: St Albans Abbey
Date: Saturday 8th March 2008 at 7pm
On Saturday 8th March 2008 we will be joined by the Chiltern Choir, with whom we have a long-standing informal association, to perform Bach's St Matthew Passion - universally acknowledged as one of the greatest musical masterpieces. The magnificent venue of St Albans Abbey is an entirely appropriate venue for this work. The conductor will be Simon Williams and the orchestra will be Charivari Agréable who specialise in the use of period instruments of the Baroque era.
