About Harrow Choral Society

Harrow Choral Society is a classical, auditioned choir of some 80 members, singing a repertoire of established choral masterpieces as well as more contemporary works.  We perform 4 concerts a year at Harrow School Speech Room, the Elliott Hall, Harrow Arts Centre and at St. Alban’s Church, North Harrow, our regular rehearsal venue. Away Days give us the opportunity to perform elsewhere in the UK and in recent years we have undertaken tours to several European countries.

Our lively rehearsals are held on Monday evenings from 7:30 - 9:30pm in St. Alban’s Church Hall.

Music Director
We are delighted to be welcoming Jennifer Sterling as our Guest Music Direcetor for the Spring Term after we said goodbye to Sam Evans who led us so creatively for three and a half years.  Paul Ayres, our talented accompanist and Assistant Music Director, is an essential and highly valued part of our organisation.

President
Dame Emma Kirkby agreed to become our President from January 2020. Dame Emma is one of the world's most famous and respected sopranos in the world.

Vice-President
Ian Caley is one of Britain's best-known and most versatile tenors with a repertoire stretching from Pre-Classical to contemporary. Simon Williams was Harrow Choral Society's Music Director for 30 successful years.
